Starting Salary: HCC Pay Grade D £21,402

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year

 

Portswood Primary School is part of the HISP Multi Academy Trust, which was formed in January 2020. As a MAT, we aim to ensure that our schools have strong and talented leadership and staff, who in turn will ensure that the young people who are in each of the MAT schools have access to excellent education, support and wider opportunities.

The Trustees would like to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic Site Manager to join our team. The work pattern involves working through the day but some flexibility may be required. Experience of working in schools would be beneficial but is not essential. We also welcome applications from individuals who have relevant experience working in property or site maintenance and who are confident in working with staff at all levels. Specific trade strengths in any area would be an advantage. Lifting, moving and handling of furniture and deliveries form an important part of the role. Full health and safety training will be given.

 

Day to day duties will include the management of all Health and Safety systems, unlocking/locking up the school, day to day maintenance, grounds works, health and safety checks (full training given), using a computerised system for logging jobs and record keeping, and managing the external cleaning team.

 

The successful candidate will need to be able to work independently as well as part of a team. They will be enthusiastic about working within a school environment and supporting the needs of the school.
